Start with what matters to you

Veneers & smile design in Costa Rica.
Explore a smile that feels like you.

Chipped edges, stains, worn teeth, gaps, or uneven proportions can change how you feel about your smile. Start with what you notice and what you would like to change.

Your clinician considers the appearance you want alongside your teeth, gums, and bite. Veneers, bonding, whitening, or restorative care may be discussed.

What is a veneer?

A thin shell.
A carefully designed finish.

A veneer covers the front surface of a tooth. This close-up shows the thin porcelain shell beside a tooth model, making its shape and delicate profile easier to see.

Veneer and smile design costs in Costa Rica

Your clinical review establishes the recommended treatment, an itemized estimate, and the anticipated appointment schedule. The final plan is confirmed after your in-person examination. If additional needs are identified, the clinic explains the findings, options, and revised costs before you approve treatment. Treatment and included ground transportation are distinguished from separately booked flights, accommodations, and optional travel services.

Can I communicate with the team in English?

Yes. Dr. Adriana Mena and Dr. Alonso Casafont both speak fluent English, so you can discuss your goals, treatment options, and questions directly with them. Before travel, confirm your clinical contact for follow-up and request written instructions in English.

How can I review the clinicians and clinic standards?

Explore the clinical team’s specialties and qualifications on our Meet the Docs section. Confirm who will perform each part of your care. Ask the treating clinic about instrument sterilization and monitoring, infection-control practices, and the equipment and materials proposed for your case.

What should I plan for during recovery?

Your clinician explains what to expect for your proposed treatment, including eating, daily activities, comfort management, and any time needed before travel. Your stay is planned around that guidance and any review appointments. The details depend on your treatment and health, so your personal plan guides the schedule.

What happens if I need help after returning home?

Contact your treating clinic about treatment-related concerns. Before you leave, review your written aftercare, follow-up contact, and treatment records for your dentist at home. Some concerns may require an in-person assessment. Any guarantee terms and costs for additional care or travel should be clear in your written plan. For urgent concerns, seek local care promptly.

How many visits will I need, and how long should I stay?

Your personal plan sets out the anticipated appointments for smile design, preparation, fitting, and review. Your clinic confirms the visit schedule and recommended stay before you finalize travel. Timing varies with the number of teeth, the chosen treatment, and any additional care needed.

Are veneers the only way to improve my smile?

No. Your clinician may discuss bonding, whitening, veneers, or restorative options depending on your teeth and goals. You can also explore crowns and bridges and clear aligners to prepare questions about different approaches; your clinician determines which options are appropriate.

Is veneer treatment reversible?

When enamel is removed, that change is permanent. Your clinician explains the proposed preparation and alternatives before you decide.

Will veneers need maintenance?

Yes. Veneers can need repair or replacement over time. Your clinician explains care, bite considerations, and follow-up.

Who handles treatment and payment?

Your dental treatment is provided by the clinic. Payment is due directly to the clinic when you arrive for your appointment, before treatment begins. If your plan requires multiple visits, you pay for the treatment scheduled for each visit when you arrive for that visit.

What transportation is included, and can you help plan my stay?

Your treatment price includes ground transportation for airport pickup, travel from your accommodations to dental appointments and back, and your return to the airport for departure. Flights and accommodations are booked separately.

Divergent Escapes can bring your travel plans together through an optional package, with pricing confirmed before booking. Prefer to arrange your own stay? We can recommend properties where we have established relationships.
