How to compare dental implant quotes in Costa Rica.
A useful estimate tells you what is included, what could change, and what you will need to budget for around treatment. Use this checklist when reviewing your individual recommendation.
1. Identify exactly what is being restored.
Ask whether the plan covers one tooth, several teeth, one full arch or both arches. Check the number of implants and the type of restoration proposed. If you are exploring All-on-4 or another full-arch option, make sure the quote states whether upper, lower or both arches are included.
2. Separate the components.
On a single-tooth implant plan, ask the clinic to itemize implant placement, the abutment and the final crown. For a larger restoration, ask how the final teeth and supporting components are priced. Confirm the proposed implant system and restoration materials in writing.
- Are the examination and diagnostic images included?
- Are any proposed extractions or bone preparation included?
- Are temporary teeth included, if they are part of the plan?
- Are final teeth, fitting appointments and adjustments included?
- Are any proposed anesthesia or sedation services separately priced?
3. Compare the whole treatment schedule.
Ask what happens at each visit, what is payable at that visit, and whether another trip is anticipated. Do not assume a first-stage price is the total treatment price. The clinician confirms the schedule after reviewing your case; an in-person examination or additional imaging may change the recommendation.
Request an explanation of any revised recommendation, alternatives and costs before approving additional treatment.
4. Build a separate travel budget.
Flights and accommodation are separate from clinical treatment. List each anticipated trip, length of stay, meals, companion expenses and optional activities. Confirm the airport and appointment transportation included in your treatment quote, including any limits that apply to your selected accommodation.
A lower treatment estimate may still lead to a higher overall trip cost if it requires more visits or a longer stay. Compare the full plan, including follow-up, rather than the headline number alone.
5. Understand aftercare and guarantee terms.
Before deciding, request the follow-up contact, written aftercare, and applicable guarantee terms. Ask what is covered, what is excluded, how a concern is assessed after returning home, and who would pay for additional care or return travel. Different parts of a restoration may have different coverage.

What will my treatment cost?
Your clinical team prepares the estimate for your case. We do not publish a universal implant price because the scope, components and additional care need to be clear first. Start an inquiry for the next step in obtaining a personalized estimate, then use this checklist to understand it.
